Setup

Shuffle the Star Realms deck (120+ cards). Each player starts with 8 Scouts (1 damage, 1 trade) and 2 Vipers (2 damage). Place the Trade Row face-up: 5 cards from the deck. Each player has 50 Authority (health).

How to Play

  1. On your turn, draw 5 cards from your deck. Play all cards from your hand.
  2. Cards give you Trade (to buy new cards from the Trade Row) and Combat (to damage the opponent's Authority).
  3. After playing, buy cards from the Trade Row (paying their Trade cost). Bought cards go to your discard pile.
  4. All played cards and unused cards go to your discard pile at end of turn.
  5. When your deck runs out, shuffle your discard pile into a new deck.
  6. Some cards give Ally abilities (bonuses if you have another card of the same faction: Blob, Trade Federation, Star Empire, Machine Cult).
  7. Outposts protect your Authority; must be destroyed before damaging the player.

Winning the Game

The first player to reduce the opponent's Authority to 0 wins. The game is a 1v1 duel. No tiebreaker; the last player with Authority wins.

Colony Wars is a standalone expansion. Frontiers adds solo and co-op modes.
